Big week last week for the LMBF site picks as Wooding went 4-1 with his College Football picks and I also had a 4-1 week. If it weren’t for Philip Rivers blowing a 13 point lead with 5 minutes left I would have been perfect last week…but hey, 4-1 ain’t bad.

Last Week: 4-1 (Survivor 1-0)
Overall: 7-3 (Survivor 1-1)

  • Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions OVER 46

The Eagles are coming off of a bye week and play a dejected Detroit team. The Lions failed to score an offensive touchdown last week, yikes. Fear not, the ole gunslinger Matt Stafford is playing at home and should be able to put a few scores up for his team. On the other side of the field, Carson Wentz has the Philly offense humming along, expect a big game for him against a defense that just gave up 300+ yards passing to Brian Hoyer.

  • San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders -4

Oakland has been one of the most impressive teams to me this season and they’re coming off a big road win against Baltimore. San Diego has struggled mightily with injuries and holding onto leads (See Above). Hard not to pick the Raiders at home here, especially given how well Derek Carr has played. Throw in the fact that San Diego’s defense just gave up 35 points at home to New Orleans and that should be more than enough for Oakland to get by.

  • Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams OVER 40

I tweeted it last week and it continues to ring true, life is too damn short to bet the under, especially with a line like this. Buffalo just shut out New England on the road and LA just held Arizona to 13, also on the road. Both teams are hot right now and coming off emotional wins, but this one has all the makings of a let-down shoot-out game to me.

  • Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys +1.5

I may change this one to bet the OVER, the line is currently at 45, but for now I am sticking with the Boys +1.5 in Jerry World. I really cannot get a good read on the Bengals, one week they look great, the next they stink. Which Cincy team will we see this week? For Dallas, Dak and company have been impressive getting them off to a 3-1 start. Ezekiel Elliott is really heating up right now and this offense seems locked to score at least three times each week. Gotta bet the Boys when they’re getting points AND at home.

  • Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins OVER 43.5

Tennessee has been severely hampered offensively by the play of their Quarterback Marcus Mariota. Meanwhile, DeMarco Murray has been dominant on the ground averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Their defense has looked decent at best but shows signs of weakness (gave up 27 to Houston last week). Miami’s defense is horrendous, ranking 28th overall, but most importantly 29th in rushing yards allowed per game. Expect Murray to have a monster game this week and score at least two times. The real question is Miami’s offense. Can they manufacture enough to get us over that 43.5 mark? I think so, Tannehill is bad, not way around it but he should only need to get a score or two under his belt to hit the over.

Survivor Pick: New England Patriots

Last week the Redskins made it way closer than it should have been against Cleveland. This week I am once again picking against Cleveland, because how can you not bet Tom Brady in his return? The Browns are slowly looking better as a football team, but I just don’t see anyway Brady and Belicheck lose this one.
