Men’s Water Polo (USA v France) 9am/8c NBC

Boy do the United States need this one, after back-to-back losses to Croatia and Spain the US is on the ropes and in desperate need of a win. The offense picked up against the Spanish but there just wasn’t enough time for the Americans to complete the comeback. France is also 0-2 and in need of a win after dropping both games to Montenegro and Italy by 3 in each game. Look for the Americans to bounce back and get the win.

Men’s Soccer (Brazil v Denmark) 9pm/8c NBCSN

This is a huge match for the host nation Brazil as Denmark currently leads the group with 4 points. Brazil has not won a match yet and has drawn against Iraq and South Africa in a pair of shocking results. Neymar needs to step up and take control, the Brazilians haven’t even scored a goal yet! What an embarrassment it would be to have two major tournaments in their nation’s pastime and not win in either. Every team is still alive in the group, with a win, the Iraqis guarantee themselves a spot in the knockout stage.

Prime-time 8pm/7c NBC

Massive lineup for Prime-time. Medals awarded in the Men’s 100m free and Women’s 4x200m free which features Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky. The Men’s individual all-around gymnastics competition will finish up and medals will be awarded. The US men look to bounce back after a disappointing preliminary round. Japan’s Uchimura looks to be the first back-to-back Olympic champ since his compatriot Sawao Kato did it in 1972. The night will close out with Kerri Walsh-Jennings and April Ross back on the court against a duo from Switzerland.
